This original, hand-signed and numbered serigraph by Jean-Claude Picot depicts a vibrant European resort coastline, rich with his signature use of bold color and rhythmic composition. Picot’s style reflects the joyful influence of the Fauvist masters—particularly Matisse, Vlaminck, and Derain—who inspired his expressive palette and simplified forms.

 

Working professionally as an artist from 1956 onward, Picot gained international recognition for his lyrical interpretations of the French countryside and Mediterranean coast. His works have been exhibited globally and are included in private and institutional collections.
